You may have read about our exciting happenings in our news section, but the movies are coming to Minnich Music! No, we're not talking about a movie night. Over the next couple of months, you may notice moving boxes scattered about and fewer tchotchkes around our home. We're not moving, but we are packing up and moving out! (Only for a few weeks, though!)
Why?
I don't have exact dates yet, but my house is going to be a movie set! The movie is entitled "Gold" and stars Matthew Mcconaughey and Michelle Williams. My house will be playing the home of Ms. Williams' character.
The studio will be relocating to... somewhere. I will either be teaching out of a rented home or a rented studio. I'll have more information come early June when the production company incorporates.
Things may be a bit confused for a while with movie people coming and going. (Sorry, no actors--only production people doing preliminary work around the house.) I'll do my best to keep interruptions during lessons to a minimum, but I've already learned that these folks operate on a different time frame than I do. I don't think they have been on-time for any of the many meetings we've had so far. We'll have to wait and see what happens once the production actually starts.
I will continue to teach while we're out of the house. I don't know where we'll be yet. It could be where we'll be staying while the house is in the movie, or it could be a studio somewhere. I'll let you all know more as soon as I know more.
