Dear Vocal and Piano Students,
It’s been an interesting summer here at the studio. But, at least no one has been filming here. Gold will be coming out on Christmas Day, it looks like. Sadly, none of the pictures on IMDb are from my house.
I’ve been talking about having hand surgery for some time. Now seems like the time to actually have it done. So, on Tuesday 9 September, I will be having surgery on two of the fingers of my left hand. They, and presumably the rest of that hand will be out of service for a month or two. We’ll be using pre-recorded accompaniments for voice lessons. I will still have the use of my right hand for picking out melodies. And if you are a piano student, I will still be able to teach.
I am taking the week of my surgery off. I’ll be on narcotics for that week, and would sleep through your lesson, so this seems like a good idea. So, no lessons from Tuesday 6 September through Sunday 11 September. Lessons will start back up on Monday 12 September.
