You may have read it in our newsletter, but there has been a lot going on at Minnich Music the past few months. Now that everything is more or less settled date- and location-wise, here is the information all of my students need to know!
Who: Minnich Music is moving to a temporary studio.
Why: My house/studio is going to be used as a set for a movie titled Gold, starring Matthew McConaughey and Michelle Williams.
Where: The movie people are renting a space that will serve as my temporary studio. The studio address is 120 Madiera Dr., NE, Suite 306.
When: I should be moving the morning of Monday, August 17th so that I’ll be ready for to teach lessons at the temporary studio that same afternoon. The movie people are telling me that we should be back in my home studio by Wednesday, September 23rd. I’m not sure how that move will go, so I’ll keep you updated on your lessons as the time grows closer.
What: The temporary studio is open from 8AM to 5PM, so we may need to reschedule a few lessons.
This has been such an interesting process and has absolutely been a learning experience. There have been so many people coming and going throughout the summer. They’ve been taking measurements, exploring filming space, looking at the light, bringing swatches and carpet samples. I’ve also been told that filming in Thailand is already behind schedule—several of their filming locations are under 10 feet of water!
So, please bear with us as we go through this exciting and often confusing experience that I’m so excited to be a part of!
Master Classes and recitals will commence after all of this is over. (Start thinking about your Halloween costumes!)
