If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? If music is never performed, is it still music? Well, of course it is, but there’s no getting around the fact that music is a performance-oriented art form.
With that in mind, the students at Minnich Music and I perform often to enhance learning and to enrich the lives of others!
Recitals and Other Performances
A large part of learning about music and becoming a musician is learning to perform. Every quarter we have an in-studio recital that provides a chance for students to perform for their peers and show off the pieces they have worked so hard to learn.
While solo work is vital to a musician, so is ensemble work. My pianists and singers all work and play together in duets, trios and ensembles. This gives them a chance to learn to work in a group and to learn from one another as well.
I also hold Master Classes. Master Classes provide my students with a chance to further their musical education. Topics can include:
Master Classes are held in my studio among a small group of fellow students to provide a fun and enriching learning environment.
Student Outreach
At Minnich Music, we feel it is important to perform for others to provide entertainment, comfort, laughter, and a good time all around. That is why we give outreach performances that take students into elder care/retirement facilities.
Our outreach performances consist of a unique blend of modern and classical styles and showcases the many musical talents of our voice, piano and guitar students for our audience to enjoy.
Annette and Friends
Annette and Friends provides an evening of professional performances for parties, receptions, dinners, corporate functions. Selections can include a wide range of music and are at your discretion. The performance could be just an accompanist and me or could also include a select group of professional friends and/or select advanced students.
The cost for an Annette and Friends performance depends upon the number of singers wanted and the type of production you are looking for. You can contact me for more information.
